2010 Champion Jim Rosa West Windsor-Plainsboro North's Rosa races to gold medal finish in 39th Annual NJSIAA MOC Holmdel, NJ - Jim Rosa, a senior at West Windsor-Plainsboro North, turned in the gold medal prformance in the 39th Annual NJSIAA Boys' Cross-Country Meet of Champions that was contested Saturday (November 20) in Holmdel Park. Rosa surged to the front from the start, , posting a 5:04 for the opening mile as he pulled out to a 50-meter advantage. Rosa maintained superiority throughout the challenging 3.1-mile course, racaing of the of bowl to hold the lead in the stretch run as he broke the tape in 15:14.63. Christian Brothers Academy, ranked No. 6 in the nation by USAHIGHSCHOOLSPORTS.COM, was paced to the wire by Mike Mazzacaro's silver medal peformance in a clockimg 15:19.20, not only claimed the team title but also established a new MOC average record of . 16:05:80 over the Holmdel course, that snapped the existing mark of 16:14:20 that was set in 2008 by West Windsor-Plainsboro South.
